We focus on two distinct market segments for which we have developed a high degree of expertise; Buildings and Industrial. The Buildings segment includes structural, architecture, interior design and project management for the Institutional / Commercial / Industrial market. The Industrial segment consists of planning, engineering, construction and project management services to the automotive, distillery and food industries.
Our Design Processes
Once engaged on a project our Project Managers including Engineer of Record (EOR) will typically work through the following processes:
- Conceptual Design - The project team will determine site specific requirements for the structure that are dependent on its location.
- System Design - Once an initial conceptual design is complete, the project team will turn their attention to system design in a top down manner.
- Element Engineering - The element engineering phase begins with the project team ensuring accurate dimensions for the various portions of the construction project through geometry coordination as defined in 2D or 3D CAD software.
- Iterative Design & Drafting - The EOR starts with a broad understanding of the loads on individual elements and narrows the focus until each element and ultimately the entire structure is designed to safely transfer all loads, meet code requirements and provide an acceptable solution that can be signed and sealed.
